Although Match Game '73 (and the rest of the years) was taped in Los Angeles Gene Rayburn continued to live in Manhattan and thus appreared on TTTT several times.

@snowden67 Also, in the early 90s, when it aired on NBC, on the debut broadcast they accidently aired the pilot hosted by Richard Kline to half the country. After a couple of months, the original host, Gordon Elliott, had to be replaced by Lynn Swann. Later, due to a scheduling conflict, Swann left the show and was replaced by Alex Trebek. The early 90s run definitely deserved a longer run then it did.

I am Shocked Kitty is not wearing a dress and her hair is not as big, WTF? Thank goodness she still has her pearls!

I've seen gary's last show, and he jokingly explained the host choice:
"They held a big meeting at Goodson/Todman and decided to do something they always wanted to do, They flipped Mark Goodson, he landed heads, so Joe garagiola lost and now he has to host To Tell The Truth"
-
exactly, Garagiola was fine as host, but that had to be imtimidating for him to be just a few feet away from the great Bill Cullen
-
Garagiola (and Robin Ward for that matter) weren't bad hosts. Poor Joe picked up a show entering its 7th season with gimmicks made to make it look hipper (trying to make the crowd sound like Arsenio Hall Show). Robin Ward's version got almost no publicity and was on in many cities at undesireable times. Even John O'Hurley gave the hosting job the respect it deserved. While Bud and Garry were the best, an dBill is always good, nobody was really bad or not doing their best to be entertaining.

Thanks so much for sharing. I can't recall GSN showing any episodes of TTTT hosted by Bill Cullen and i notice this does not have a GSN logo. Of course those fans of Bill know that he had polio as a child and thus was usually seated when introduced. This did no detract from his charm and personality though and he is the ultimate game show host in my opinion.

Wonderful memories! Talented people! So sad that they are all dead!
He forgot to ask the impostor's names....

@afanofoldradio1 Actually, he didn't. I uploaded this before YouTube changed their time limit and edited that part out.
