I honestly couldn't follow this one like I could his other sonatas. His other 'dark' piece, the ninth sonata, is much more accesible to me - I just can't seem to find a way in!

ah....

Haha ya he did. This is one of my all time favorites!

Speaking about scriabinians, check out igor zhukov's versions of all the sonatas that he recorded in the 1970's for another perspective of things... i posted them all on YT, so feel free to check them out. My particular favorites are the 6th & the 8th, the most exotic ones ;-) !!!

M. Truecrypt > You're doing a fantastic job to give a second life to all this unknown or nearly impossible to by records that you put on YT. This 6th sonata is very dear to me ... I didn't knew there was a recording of it by Sofronitsky... Till now I had "only" Richter ! wich is absolutely crazy... I'm happy to hear now another full blood scriabinian. Many thanks

Reality is already a horror movie for me. I don't think horror movies bring people out of reality-they show it. I rather not experience the horror again through music...I want music to satisfy, not to intimidate. Do you know even Scriabin feared to play this piece?

who choses hell? Have you never watched a horror film ?:p

And what is this piece about?
mmmmm,the final chord is just...:)
