Microscopic plastic debris from washing clothes is accumulating in the marine environment and could be entering the food chain, a study has warned. Researchers traced the "micro-plastic" back to synthetic clothes, which released up to 1,900 tiny fibers per garment every time they were washed.

Where is our ice mini ice age. Can't come quick enough. Been near 40deg cel now for weeks and it is soooo hot !! I know about a guy who built a boat completely out of plastic bottles and plastic objects found in the ocean junk yard. I am not really sure it is washing clothes that is doing this lol.

Hemp clothing is the way to go, 80% of Australia's population live on the coast, Shark attacks are rare, if you look like a seal then you are at greater risk, bright bold colours are advisable.

About the "plastic fibres" in the environment - industries do the worst damage .I worked for air conditioning company that made "ducting" pipes that were made from polyester . That polyester was in fibre form (looked like cotton wool) & a lot of it ended up on the floor , like dust . The wind would blow and it all would flow in to the yard of the factory .From there it went it to the surrounding environment . Tiny , microscopic plastic fibres covered the whole place like snow . EPA didn't care.

@nibiruMagick20112 i always prefer cotton. it's the fabric of our lives. lol no really i do wear cotton mostly. my mom said she's heard the strange sounds. i havent yet. i checked out other videos. very creepy sounding. interesting therory reported on thesottreport. as always thanks for sharing. peace and love
