between your savage and remington 700 witch one are better . am looking for bolt action rifle now.

@thegafe555 The Savage has better accuracy. Savage wins in my opinion (Remington is still a great rifle choice, though).

I heard the scope that comes with the rifle breaks after a 20 rounds or so, is this true?

I have a mossberg atr 308 (awesome) and a Remington 770 243 (ok, since I paid 150 for it used with a leupold scope), ive never shot one of these, but I've heard good things about them. I think the smaller grip would be good for me since I have smaller hands. Sounds like a good rifle. I have someone wanting to trade my 770 for one in 22-250, hopefully Ill get the better deal haha.

Miller, i have this rifle in .308,,i was going to pick up the Remington 770 in .308. But, when i read all of the horror stories about the 770, i quickly changed my mind. There wasnt anything negative about Savage rifles i could find. Please reply to BattleCobra. Thanks
