no her singing definitely clashes with the music, it sort of floats over it. when i first heard this i didn't like it too.

it only really occurred to me after i got into the dirty three as opposed to solely cat power how great her singing is on this song. It's so powerful, I didn't understand that until now and I can't really explain why I didn't feel that before. This is a Cat Power that we probably won't hear again.
