  • Is this the one who was troubled in his younger years?

  • @djk28161 Yes, Chuck became a drug addict when he was with the band. He's been sober since 1991.

  • The book is not out of print, although new copies are expensive. I just bought a used copy from Amazon for 14.95 or something like that. Not bad for a hard cover. And their used books from past experience are hard to tell from a new one. Pristeen.

  • @bassball67 I also found a like-new used copy. Chuck's book is no longer 'directly' available from any major retailer, because the publisher is out of business. Any new copies are overstock from random locations. When you can only purchase a book from a third-party seller, it's a pretty good indicator that it's OOP.

  • I know Chuck for over 20 years and as a music-t.v. producer, it is my dream to get them back together for a special one night show. But It may be one of my most difficult miracles to pull off, if you agree with this post, please support by saying you "want to see them back together" it s time....Larry Handelman

  • As far as celebrity bios go this man has written the most compelling one that I have ever read. And it was a Three Dog Nightmare! Chuck is a walking miracle! I've never heard of anyone ever entering rehab 37 times & live to tell about it! I've loved this man since I was 8 years old & by the Grace of God he is still here! After all that he has been through. His voice is still so incredible! He looks fantastic! Chuck always was & always will be the voice & face of Three Dog! Night!

  • @larryhandelman1 I agree. I never read or heard why he left. Too many bad memories, maybe? Sometimes when people recover they break away from certain things that bring back powerful reminders of the thing they are overcoming. All the same, it would be GREAT to see Chuck...AND Floyd Sneed...back in the lineup even for one show. Too bad Joe Schermie isn't still alive.

  • @larryhandelman1 That would be AWESOME!,........Please Try for our sake?.

    Thank You!.

  • Please .....Three Dog Night get back together and come to SF.

  • I would love to see TDN get back together for a few shows at least. Their songs are loaded with memories.

  • @larryhandelman1 Larry Handelman it is time to put Chuck Negron back where he belongs with Three Dog Night. Thanks. I love them all, however Chuck was my favorite. Turn Three Dog Night once again back into Three Dog Night.

  • OMG .., Chuck, what a great soulful singer ..what a great (3 dog night band) you guys were truly talented..and unique.

  • @larryhandelman1 oh god please do what ever you can do to get them back together, was to young to see them live back then but what i would give to see them now

  • i believe corey wells did a cruise with some other bands from the era

  • you can still here that trademark voice that help build 3 dog night.he can still hang after everything he has been through.

  • most singers voices get worse over the years-if anything, chuck sounds even better.an amazing talent always.
