  • Mark, I was one who DID flip my 45rpm. In fact, I just searched youtube to see if anyone else had it posted. Alas...you did! Back in those days, when I only had maybe 50 records that belonged to my dad, I'd flip 'em all! There were some very good songs, like this one! Nice to hear it without scratches...

  • @HouseFullOfRecords Welll I'm glade some buyers turned the records over. There were some real gems on the "B" side of many hits.

  • Thank you sooooo much for posting this...it was one of my favorites of all time

I just love it. Why it never became popular or famous defies logic really.

  • @NatashaBH

Your welcome. This was not one of Frankie's best but I've found that a lot of people liked it. This was one of those songs that was on the flip sode of a big hit ("Moonlight Gambler") and few seemed to ever turn the record over to play it.

  • I, for one loved it mark,it's kind of mystic and serene.

  • I knew there would be someone out there that would like it. I sort of like it myself.

  • @HouseFullOfRecords Fantastic, I've searched for this song for years. Haven't heard it since I was a teen. My copy of moonlight gambler was lost and with it this song. Thanks from one old dude that has always been moved by music.

  • Love this- thank you for posting!

  • This song borrows its title and much of the main melody from the 1905 piano composition "Lotus Land" by English composer Cyril Scott.

  • Your right, this was far from one of his best. I guess Columbia thought so too as they never did anything else with it. I only posted it as it is one that I thought most of Frankie's newer fans never heard before.
