Probably just one day late to the meme party, but I was restless on my lunch break from work (hence the shirt) and thought it'd be fun to turn Judith Griggs email to Monica and her initial Facebook response into a loose song.
The chorus is fairly verbatim.
How good the results of such fun were are up to you. If you didn't enjoy it and are unhappy, then well, it's my bad and.... I'm sorry.
Lyrics:
Yes Monica,
I've been doing this for 3 decades.
I've been an editor at several publications,
And all to great accolades.
And I do know,
About copyright laws.
And it was "my bad" indeed,
But sometimes we just forget to do this things.
But honestly monica.
The interwebs are "public domain".
And if you took offence and are unhappy.
I'm sorry.
Well here I am. With egg on my face!
But apparently that's not enough for Monica,
Though I thought I made my case.
This sort of thing happens all the time.
Clearly more than you're aware.
On campuses and workplaces especially,
So I can't believe you care.
But honestly monica
The interwebs are public domain
And if you took offence and are unhappy.
I'm sorry.
Now that I think about it.
I have a difficult time.
With your requests for cold hard cash.
It hurts these tired eyes.
This magazine is put together in long sessions,
But I still had the time.
To rewrite what was so badly in need.
YOU SHOULD PAY ME!
Hey Monica
The interwebs are "public domain"
But if you took offence and are unhappy.
I'm sorry.
It's my bad, it's my bad, it's my bad, it's my bad.
It's my bad, it's my bad, it's my bad, it's my bad.
It's my bad, it's my bad, it's my bad, it's my bad.
It's my bad, it's my bad, it's my bad, it's my bad.
I'm sorry.
sniff
Thanks for subscribing to my channel. I was just meandering around and came across this clip of yours, and was intrigued, so read the story behind it. Wow. What total f*ckers. Unbelievable, the nerve of some people. Did you get it sorted??

@SOUNDsculptures Hey no problem. Actually, I wasn't the person involved, I just found the whole situation when it exploded on the internet and decided to turn the nasty letter they got into a song. :D

@arlojeremy It's a good idea. These people don't deserve electricity, let alone computers. I love the bit when you step down 'public domain'... really nice phrasing

@SOUNDsculptures Thanks! I actually just finished a song of my own today... maybe I'll get around to recording it and uploading it.
