Why do Scientologists fear talking about Xenu?

Ask a rabbi anything about Judaism and you would never get them to shut up.

Ask an imam anything about Islam and you will get a massive lecture on the topic.

Ask a priest about anything about Christianity and you will be in for a massive education.

Ask a Scientologist about Scientology? They tell you to consult their books and lectures. OT3, the material that involves Xenu, can only be obtained after spending thousands of pounts/euros/dollars.

Scientology spokespeople, like Mike Ferris here, often attempt to make the comparison between Scientology and other religions. It is interesting that such comparisons actually help to emphasise why Scientology is different, and why it is a money scam.

Victims do not buy into Scientology itself, but rather they buy into what it promises to them. This is the reason for the secrecy, because without the secrecy the scam would never succeed.

As well, the reason why no Scientologist will ever confirm the existence of Xenu as part of Scientology doctrine is because those who learn about it are only allowed to talk about it in a confidential Scientology course room. Tory (Magoo) explains it here:

For a "religion" to be ashamed to talk about its core beliefs - this is not a religion at all. This is why Scientology is a bait-and-switch scheme.

No religeons dont hide their beliefs. Christians believe that jesus died and rose again 3 days later. Christians do believe that yea demons are real. Its right there, black and white, in the Bible. Scientology has to realize that Xenu doesn't matter. If they answered the question, "Yes Xenu is the creation story, but you need to have the preliminary information to completely understand it, so we won't be discussing it here." If they said just that, no one would care. What people care about is the coerced abortions in the SeaOrg, underage slave labour, restrictions on freedom of movement and association, and fraudulent behaviour in the orgs as proven in French court. Xenu doesn't matter.
