@thickwithapassion You mean, the neo-soul that started in '94 with Zhane, and carried through (by D'Angelo, Chico DeBarge, Maxwell, Erykah Badu, Davina, Angie Stone, Amel Larrieux, Musiq Soulchild, and Jill Scott) to 2000. That version of neo-soul is DEAD and buried. The second generation of neo soul artists (Dwele, Chrisette Michele, Jasmine Sullivan, Melanie Fiona, Ledisi, etc.) are just watered down versions of their more soulful predecessors. Some of their material is quite good, though.
