Kaleb Cowart strikes out Jared Lakind during an AFLAC All-American scrimmage game played at USD's Cunningham Stadium on August 14. The 6-foot-3, 190 pound right-hander was selected to play for the East team. Cowart will play for the Hornets next season during his senior season at Cook County High School in Adel, Georgia.
@OBLKrYpToNiTe Too bad the Dodgers couldn't get him. They would've gotten max value out of him if they had made him a pitcher. That way he would've still been able to swing a bat under NL rules. At least the Angels played it smart and drafted him as a hitter, anyway. Has a good chance to rise quickly through the ranks.

Kaleb prefers 3B and switch hit with the tools he has as a hitter. So with Chipper Jones a few years from retiring I see the Braves drafting him 35th overall.
