Los Angeles, CA (October 13, 2011) ---- The outrageous, fantastical, funky band the Original 7ven, the band formerly known as The Time, will kick off the release of their new album, Condensate, at the Best Buy store in West Los Angeles on October 17th beginning at 6:00pm. Morris Day, Jesse Johnson, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Jerome Benton, Jellybean Johnson and Monte Moir will meet with fans and autograph copies of their CD starting at 6:00pm and ending promptly at 7:00pm. On Monday, the first 300 fans to purchase the CD will be given a wristband to meet the band. The Best Buy store is located at 11301 West Pico Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA, 90064.
Condensate marks the first time the seven musicians have recorded together in over 21 years. Morris Day, Jesse Johnson, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Jellybean Johnson, Jerome Benton and Monte Moir deliver exciting funk/rock/pop that drove the launch of the Minneapolis Sound, infused with a new energy and power. Irrepressible front man Morris Day captivates and entertains like no other against a backdrop of musical talent that few can match. Condensate will be released on October 18th on SRR Records.

If you dont think Prince can perform Check out ' The Greatest Guitar solo ever' Its Prince playing a Beatles song with other rock stars and he makes it look like childs play. Unbelievable performance. Morris, love u, up brought me years of joy, but u can't touch that.

As an Original fan of.all since 79, I look at out like this, Prince wrote and played ALL of the songs on The Times first, and best IMHO, two albums. Get it Up and 777 are on a whole other level in the genre. Without those songs the Time would have been very good, but not great.

@iamsukafree are you joking? lol Prince would have found a way himself eventually, Prince is a musical genius and GOD, he plays 32 instruments, can hit notes as low as Barry White all the way to Mariah Carey, he is a great dancer, he looks like no one else, very unique, he plays all of his songs, like 95% of them, he is a great actor and director, he is also an amazing rapper, the dude is limitless and timeless, and Prince stills inspired kids to his day! even corny justin bieber love prince

It really does nothing to compare any of Prince's acts to eachother. They were all extensions of himself. He gave the flamoyant pimp-like style to Morris, he have the sexy hooker personas to Vanity & Apollonia. The entire "The Family" album were just leftovers given to St. Paul & Susanna from the Parade sessions - and still they were funky!

@iamsukafree Prince gathered Morris & crew together to release his OWN creations under a different act. Morris is a great showman, an ok singer and he's still doing the best he can with the act Prince gave him.

@kaptainkrunk lmao.prince cant touch morris day & the time live,he cant dress better then morris & dont have more style then morris.morris use 2 make prince look bad.the time proved they better then prince when they was on tour together & they perdormed so good.all the newspapers was only talking about morris day & the time performance & prince was jealous because he knew he couldnt touch them. so he stoped letting them perform in big states with him because they was makeing him look bad
