You can get these on Ebay for $200 with a 60gb hdd and 1.5gigs of memory and in excellent condition. Although I would have to say it's a waste of money to put an ssd into one, especially when you can get much newer for the price of the computer + ssd drive. Regardless, they do run much better with windows 7 for some reason, alot better that they do with xp. Linux would be an even better choice if you can handle the job of configuration.

Thanks .

So, any update on the machine now ... just wondering if you put windows 7 on it ? Is that with the original 512mb ram ?

machine was upgraded with Mtron SSD later on, and is now sold. It had 1,5GB ram, 512MB onboard and 1x 1GB SODIMM added.

Thanks, I just saw one today (refurb) with 1 gig of ram for around $300 and I already have a win 7 upgrade here so it is getting a little tempting even though I hear the original hard drive is a little slow. What do you think ?

I'd say stick with XP or one of the unices around. win7 is good, but still pretty demanding. Just an opinion offcourse, I haven't tried running win7 on an X41.

Brother, i think you will be the error 2010, right??

As you can see the 2010 error occurs, yes. also, the bios boot time is significantly longer.
