  • For Makoto...Is it impossible or just REALLY hard to kara-karakusa on the ps2 controller? I'm 4 days into practicing the game, and I can't seem to pull it off.

  • Actually, I've got a Kara move video tutorial coming up soon for Makoto. Keep checking my Web site, it should be posted in the next couple of days.

  • strong = medium punch

    That's why (MP) is in parentheses - in case the person reading it doesn't know what strong means

    lp = jab

    mp = strong

    hp = fierce

    lk = short

    mk = forward

    hk = roundhouse

  • Lol, "Inspector Ga-- ... er, I mean, Q." Made me lulz pretty hard. xD

    On the subject of kara throwing, however, I find it amazingly helpful to practice kara throws with Akuma/Gouki, Oro, or Chun-Li, simply because you hear a the voice for the command you input (for example, Gouki's F+MP, you hear, "Mmm!") but you see a throw rather than the actual move that voice goes with. Just a way to make 100% sure you're getting the kara throws out correctly.

  • Timing is crazy

  • lol cool. I didn't mean anything offensive by calling you kid. It's a habit of mine. A lot of the old games used to refer to the attacks by their technical names like jab, strong, fierce, short, medium, roundhouse.

  • Thanks but numerous people have already explained this. And by the way, we're the same age. First played street fighter back in the 90s, but it was only casual and I never learned all the terminology.

  • that MP in parenthesis is telling you that strong = medium punch. this is OLD terminology. learn the lingo kid.

  • you need good timing what i mean by this this is speed you have to do this under half a second. kara throw.

  • What does " toward+strong (MP)" ? mp=medium punch, so what does strong mean?

  • Kara throwing gives you that extra throw range. In the video, the guy whiffed because he was demonstrating the normal throw range. He then followed it up with a kara throw so players can see the difference. It all comes down to mind games.

  • lmfao
