So by your logic, spreading ignorance is alright? The holocaust is an undeniable fact of history, and denying it is not only plainly ignorant, but is usually part of a larger agenda of antisemitism. That's already two good reasons to scorn holocaust deniers.

It's amazing the lengths people will go to to defend their friends, ignoring all logic just to get a pat on the back.

Nobody is forgetting other atrocities; holocaust denial is a specific form of blatant Antisemitism which targets Jews for further persecution based on hear-say and historical inaccuracies.

Their claims do not stand up to scientific evaluation, witness, victim or perpetrator testimonials, nor records kept by the Third Reich itself.

The defeat of Germany in WW2 was not the end of fascism or hatred of the Jews. Growing up in the 1950's as I child I overheard lots of Jewish hatred amongst the elders within my neighborhood. Also the Muslims are adding to the fire of Jewish hatred nowadays. Both of these groups want to again attack the Jews and they cannot do it without changing history and the public Zeitgeist. Yes the same Nazis that brought you WW2 are still with us. Sorry you don't understand this.

How do you get people in Rwanda to take up machetes and hack each other to death? Well the first thing you have to do is to get them to think that the other group is evil,depraved and out to get them...just like the germans were taught about the jews...then after you whip the people up enough all you need is just one spark. Imagine if the US gov made a law that to deny that the German gov. had a specific plan to murder jews in gas chambers and that you could be charged with a crime and sent to prison. By using the phrase "the holocaust" they attempt to blend the fact that enemies of the state were sent to prison camps and in some cases treated rather bad=truth. And that jews were systematically killed in gas chambers= lie. Everybody swallows it hook line and sinker!
