When the hell can we use "ATI STREAM" FOR THE HD3800, Shouldn't this technology be available for all of the direct x 10 cards like nvidia did. I swear to god if they don't release "ATI Stream" for the HD3800 SERIES I'm going to move to Nvidia's side.
does one actualy have to use the video card to use this GPGPU technoligy?
I use a motherboard with a aticard built in i also use a separate graphics card for my graphics... SLI/crossfire is of less intrest to me as i use dual displays and i dont want to have to do work arounds to use 2 screens.
but i would love to employ that unused built in gpu thats just sitting there doing nothing...
That story has two sides... on one there are people with graphics cards that have in-house BIOSes... and these don't play well.
Then there are "dumb" clients that. instead of sending a proper bug report or asking how to, they flood the forum with bitching and yapping about how it doesn't work.
Most of us are OK... I myself am a happy Windows Seven x64 user.
You are confusing Valve's Stream service, that lets you download and network games over internet, with AMD Stream, a GPGPU interface for programming AMD (ATi) graphics cards.
GPGPU stands for General-purpose computing on graphics processing units. Don't confuse these two in the future!
