Lines problem with LG 47" LCD TV, model 47LB7RF, made in 2008. Lines appear when first turned on, but if TV is turned on and off again the lines go away. Seems we have to turn it off and of a few times now. What causes this? Thanks

  • About a week after this video the TV popped and died. I took it apart and noticed 3 of the 9 main capacitors on the power board were swollen and leaking from the top. I looked on Google and found a 9 capacitor replacement kit for my model TV for $18 total at wwwlcdalternativescom. I got the kit in 3 days, removed the board from the TV, de-soldered the 9 old capacitors and soldered the new ones on to the board. Put everything back together and it works fine. Not too hard to do.

  • Using capacitor kit from wwwlcdalternativescom and it worked

  • UPDATE>>>> I FIXED IT!

  • What causes that? It is not consistent and it happens when the TV is or has been turned off.
