How to make rice with chicken a la Puerto Rico Style.

Hint: After water has absorbed, turn rice only ONCE.

Otherwise, it gets sticky..... Oh I was so in love with the
rice I kept eyeing it and turning it... LOL!

For recipe, see video;)

  • WOW, no tomoto sause??? no cerveza????

this isn't arroz con pollo a lo boricua!!!

  • @streetnewz Hahaha..lol...I did add tomato sauce but in this recipe no cerveza. But you're right on... cerveza is a key ingredient for lots of people. Some will say it's still Boricua...como quiera estaba sabroso el arroz con pollo. Chico I'm glad at least you watch the vid and give you credit...you know your ingredients;) Gracias!

  • how big is the pot you used?

  • @hotmatchproducer I used a 5Qt. pot/dutch oven.

  • OK...so now I'm really hungry!!

    My two all-time favorite foods...Rice & Chicken!

    Two questions...

Were those thighs you were using?

Can I use tomato paste and add a teensy bit of water with it? Or does it have to be the tomato sauce?

    LOVE this!!!

    LOVE this,

  • @CathieHeath Cathie, let me know

    when you cooked this meal.

  • @CathieHeath I love it that you love this recipe:) And yes, the chicken pieces were thighs. You can use whichever part of the chicken that you like best. I had chicken thighs in hand so I used them. Also yes to the substitution of tomato sauce for tomato paste. You will be adding water as part of the recipe so you can certainly add the tomato paste when you add the water....makes it easier to dilute it. Enjoy:)

  • @sejce5 Thank You...and great to hear you're going to try this recipe.
