Just to think about the whole thing again, makes me suspect generally unfavourable acoustic conditions, amplifying-up the drums. Probably nothing wrong with the instrument or the poor drummer, who can be as innocent as a today's born lamb. Would be interesting to experiment, with a few accoustic panels, or heavier draperies on the wall behind the stage though. Just a thought...

too bad im too young to experience the original diaspora yeshiva band in king davids tomb back in teh 70's and 80's with avraham rosenblum and ben zion solomon and teh original gang and rubby harris i did see them on occasion in new york at a show and in the late 80's when avraham had his shows in teh renassance in jerusalem but oh well such is life
The keyboard player and the near virtuoso vocal were the heart of the show. Acoustic guitar only so-so. Sorry but either the recording or my speakers didn't reproduce the bass, it was hidden like your face, most of the time. Percussion sounded a bit too strong. Before you condemn me as a harsh critic, these are only teething problems, which can be relatively easily rectified.

Nah no problem. We had no mixing or anything...this was from a cheap camera mic, just a practice session. Take a look at that drum set will you? Its huge. The story has it that its Lynyrd Skynyrs drum set donated to the Yeshiva.
