When I was trying to find out where to run the power wire through the fire wall of my ranger there were no videos here on youtube about how to do that, so here is one! Im pretty sure it is pretty close to a Ford Explorer also. And a Review of a
Kenwood KDC-MP345u. Part 2 is coming soon!

Here is part 2

no problem, hope this was helpfull.

  • What year is your ranger? Also, I was wondering what plastic piece you ordered for the support thing under the stereo because I'm looking to get the same stereo you have except in a 2004 Ford Ranger XLT 2WD Ext Cab, w/out jumpseats and crutchfield is telling me that they don't know if the deck will fit in my truck. Please let me know thanks.

sorry i ran out of characters lol. but I hope that i was some what helpfull! also the piece actually goes around the mounting bracket for the stereo so it has something to mount to. if i ever have it out again ill try to make a video of it to show you, but i dont thinki im going to have it out in the near future... sorry for the long winded response lol, but i hope you may have gotten something from this!

Oh its fine, Thanks a bunch for all the help. I'll probably upload some videos of my truck when I'm done getting my stereo installed. I'm pretty stacked for time right now thought because of school, lacrosse, and working on the dirtbike. But, when I get around to it I'll definitely post some vids and show ya what I did! Thanks a bunch for all the help!

  • @IWantToSeeAllTheVids

    No problem (:

im pretty sure the 04's have the same dash style right? if so, that plasic piece came with the truck for the other kenwood that was in it. so it may be a thing you can order from the maker of the stereo you are getting, or i know some of the big stores like best buy and places like that have the pieces you can get also usually right on the shelf, if not they would probably be able to point you in a better direction to find on than me... sorry!

  • Thanks for the reply, sorry about the HUGE brick of text haha.
