Hmm. I don't know what this is, or who sent it to me, or how it was made. I guess I'll open it up and taste it. True Biochemist tradition! hahahaha But seriously, that is how a particular (I'm failing to remember which, sorry) artificial sweetner was discovered. In a lab. By a poor lab assistant who tasted the precipitate of a reaction. And discovered it was very, very sweet. And, thankfully, nonlethal. >.<
