VtMB EXTRA: Crazy Bugs And Failure to Receive Masquerade Violations

Odd things occur when I try to transfer my game onto my new computer.

Watch me also fail at properly receiving masquerade violations. I think the use of companions here is part of the reason that the masquerades didn't work properly.

Please note however that I'm using an old beta version of the companion mod here. There is a full, much more stable version that has been released that works much better... I can attest to that.

Did you just copy the game folder over instead of re-installing it? I could see that screwing up a few of the texture files on your game. Strange to see it happen, though.

Know what needs to be done though? Some Sherlock Holmes investigating cults. That stuff needs doing.

I have a network set up, so I tried to just copy/paste from one computer to the other. I did this for the save files and because i'm using a mod that modified a lot of the original files. I was trying to get the game exactly the way it was.

And aww, subtle hints of things I need to do. :)

The pink/black squares are missing textures, usually if the game is looking for them in the wrong place or they were corrupted.

This is me using a REALLY old version of the companion mod by Dheuster which was built upon Wesp's 5.6 patch I believe.

This game USES THE SOURCE ENGINE developed by VALVe, serach up one of their games, its called HALF-LIFE 2

that BUG isnt a BUG its a missing texture, if you have a missing model the source engine renders it as a glowing ERROR model :P
