Chely Wright is obviously a very kind, intelligent lady, and it is terribly sad that her fans and compatriots in the country music world have essentially disowned her simply because she found the courage to be honest about her identity. This situation has obviously cost her a great deal, both financially and emotionally. She is one smile away from breaking down in tears throughout this entire interview! She is a far cry from the typical country music "redneck" to say the least.
