  • wow that was really cool! like your costumes!/ go to our channel 2/

  • I'm not sure if you're refering to a typical tryout (like in your previous comment) or the dance in the video......

  • how long is dance that is eight counts?

  • On more thing... BE CONFIDENT IN YOURSELF!...even though you might come accross some really good girls @ tryouts that might have harder skills than you, don't let that discourage you, you must BELIEVE that you are good at what you do. If for some reason you don't make the team, don't get mad and hate everyone, let that be your determination to make the team the next year. Go to as many games/events you know they will be at and just watch them so you'll know what to expect when you make the team.

  • Also, I would practice learning dances...it doesn't matter what kind, just practice learning steps because more than likely you'll have to learn a routine or two (typically between 4-8 eight counts). Judges wanna see how well you pick up choreography and perform it. I suggest going to vids here on youtube that teach a routine and learn them so that you're more prepared for anything they might throw at you at tryouts. but whatever happens, do the best you can do HAVE FUN!

  • Gymnastics is good but pretty much only for flexibility...some gymnasts have a difficult time transitioning into cheer/dance because everything has to be sharp as opposed to fluid like what they were used to. I suggest workin on those turns cuz if that's where you're having trouble, that's what will hurt you if you don't work on it before tryouts. I'd say also work on cheer motions cuz you never know what they might gonna ask of you to do at tryouts

  • Im trying out for high school's poms team (dance team) I have never taken dance classes but i do gymnastics, do you think that will help? It says on the requirenments I need doubles, pirouettes, fouettes, kicks, splits, and toe touches. I have all of my splits down good, and my toe touch is pretty good to but not perfect and i have okay leaps and kicks but not turns, do you think i have a chance at making it?! Any tips on how to make it and what to expect at try outs? PLEASE help! =)

  • hahah her pompom is in the wrong hand!! MISTAKEE:O

  • it's alright

  • 1 did but yeah.
