@bugio22 At the bottom of the valley there is an entry gate to the national park. If is snowing and you don't have chains the rangers won't let you in. Unless you have a 4x4 witch helps a little

This is end of april, 2009. Went there to climb Kosciuszko and found first snow of the season. So we just drove in the blizzard, just for fun!!! If u got a 4wd is perfect, otherwise you need snow-chains. But I think is cheaper buy a 4x4.
