I graduated HS in 1979. and the 80's were definately a unique time. I think it was that the music was so diverse, and came from all over- the USA, UK, Australia, Germany...
I listen to it now and remember the times walking around the malls, doing normal things and hearing these songs for the first time- for me, it was awesome.

@DetroitLove4U & i agree with u 100% ...i was born in 1970 & wish everyday i could go back to the 80s♥ great memories, great music, seems things were more simple back then...i may be 42 years old but the 80s & the music will always be the best memories of my childhood that i can share with my 3 daughters today as they also like the 80s music thanks to ME lol but least they know how much things & music has changed over the years xxx♥

I will never be surprised if I live 5 or 6 more decades - the 80's is a time, a place, an original way of life - that will never be replicated. I graduated high school in 1996. What I said my senior year to many of my classmates is what I would have gave to have graduated 10 years earlier & be 18 then!! I could see the dope happening 80's ways in several of my lady teachers that were in their mid or late 20's then. I mean they were so real in spirit. 90's and newer music make for bland females!

a flock of seagulls were ahead of they're time they were a very progressive band and took a lot of negativity for simply having FUTURISTIC hair styles...like I said AHEAD of they're time.
