Hello! I know a lot of you enjoyed my first video, This one is not that great because my Current video converter cuts out at 3:00. I am learning a lot more and will start to actually post real known guqin compositions soon!! This was just a small experiment I didn't even mean to record, it is a mix of the guqin song called Qiu jian gye bo (秋江夜泊)and Brian Eno's Music for Airports. I hope you all like it! More to follow!

  • this is fantastic

  • Hey, thanks a lot, stay tuned for more at some point.

  • A curious accident, a pinch of serendipity. Playing Electric Qin 2 and Electric Qin 3 at the same time (in various stages of asynchronicity) is surprisingly attractive to listen to. Almost like overhearing a quiet conversation between lovers...

  • Yes sometimes the composition, when I play it is in the same mindset, and so I may play in a similar style which syncs up.

  • The meeting of a riverport and an airport?

    Wow. O_o

If you only were in Toronto, I'd invite you to every yaji...oh well, be sure to find one and share your talent!

  • wow thanks! If I ever make it up there I'll let you know. I've always been a big fan of your videos too.

  • @avivagabriel It's the tuning of the guqin based on natural harmonics that makes it so attractive, truly it's a unique instrument, electric guitar version or traditional acoustic version with silk strings it doesn't matter, the tuning is a big part of it's magic therefore even a bad guqin player can sound special.

  • Were I can buy this instrument???

  • I also played Electric guqin 2 and 3 at the same time.

    Sounds wonderful. :)

  • Hi, I love your playing! Although your gesture is "wrong" if compared to traditional guqin playing, but you have a very good sense of how the sound is like, and it sounds really close to the original one! And I like your idea of making an electronic one.

  • ok you need to stop!!! this is just too much i can't contain myself, this is bloody brilliant! traditional chinese music and brian eno, i can die happy.

  • Hey, can you tell me which strings you use? Thanks!
