Why would anyone bother with marriage when women can split your assets in half at their convenience and they give out sex so freely as it is? Men gain nothing from modern day marriage and lose most things just to satisfy a social construct that used to have meaning.

I would be genuinely interested to know, whether many women regret the changes in the law, economics, culture and reproductive science that have occurred since the 1960s. From my (male) perspective, it seems only a stupid or crazy man would get married (except to a much richer woman). Also, women seem far more tightly chained to the office desk than they ever were to the kitchen sink. Also, the availability of abortion and contraception have made marriage unnecessary for sex. Thoughts, ladies?

@ShinobiMexicano Agreed. The exception is when the woman is much richer than the man, where there have been moves towards sexual equality. I would only ever marry a woman much richer than I am.

Women are as picky as hell, esp. in the Silicon Valley. And guys are also as picky as hell too. So...if everybody's picky, nobody wants to settle, and then nobody gets married. And that's all natural and nothing earth-shattering. Just a sign of the times.
