SICK
FROM
DANCING
FOR
YOU
a film by Lisa Rovner (3min14) Image appears: a girl runs into the shot. A snow storm is happening. Underneath the Manhattan bridge. She holds signs. She flips through them. They say : i'm/ sick/ from/dancing/ for /you. Not of, but from. She starts twirling. The world makes her dizzy. She falls. Only to get back up again. She starts dancing again, only to fall back down again. In this self portrait, there is no escape from society's demands and expectations, they hurt over and over again.
