I remember having this cassette 20 years ago but now it's gone. In the days when shredders and superstrats rule the music biz, it's was a breath of fresh air to find outstanding guitarists who are more into subtleties, tone, finesse and touch. And mind you during the 80s, very few give a cahoots about them. For me this was one of the finest guitar moments of the '80s no doubt.
Yeah, that was a great series of concerts and a great line-up of talent. The guitarist playing with Steve here, Pete Haycock, went on to form (briefly) the band "H Factor" with bassist Derek Holt (also seen here, and also ex-Climax Blues Band). Steve's a great player, and he and Pete meld well together here. Pete Haycock is back on the road after many years of studio/soundtrack work, with his new band "Pete Haycock's True Blues (featuring Glen Turner" -- new Live CD from them is great too!
Steve Hunter plays fantastic saw him at church last Tuesday night with Paster Koop, Very Great Guitar Player, didnt know I had dinner with a famous guitar player, God Blessed us that night!!!!!!!
Don't forget Steve Hunter also played on Jack Bruce's 'Out of Storm' album & Lou Reed's 'Rock n Roll Animal'. Saw him live on the Alice Cooper Nightmare tour back in the 70's. Simply a great guitarist.
@bpabustan you probably could find this on ebay. No Speak Guitar I think was the CD "Night of Guitar" was on.
