the black catholics tear their african nation apart with their witch hunts, anti-condom, sex with aids, pro-creating aids a multitude of babies with no food around to begin with so the babies becomes emaciated. same with the brown catholics in south america and the philippines. then the white protestants from here, europe and australia go over to the 3rd world nations to help the poor colored people then are filled with white guilt- evangelism THRIVES off guilt. such a bullshit cycle!

@PainAddict666 At least you don't suffer from hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia. ( <- Word for the day )

It's a silly username, I made many years ago on a whim but YouTube won't allow a name change, you have to create another channel. I don't want to do that. I'm a much different person now than I was back, maturity-wise.
(about my previous comment) I guess for whatever reason I reached an age where I could no longer take a "leap of faith", it doesn't seem smart to me and it seems impossible to avoid seeing that God refuses to prove His existence in a way I'd trust.
Thanks for the exchange.

@PainAddict666 Well that's interesting. I don't know that I really understand where you're coming from but thanks for sharing. Question for you. In you user name you have the numbers 666. Where does that come from and why have you chosen to have it in your user name? What are those numbers? (I have an idea but I don't want to "assume")

@faithandpractice Allow me to put it this way: based on my personal experience(s), when it comes to whether or not something actually exists or not it doesn't seem to matter if you "desire" it to be. It either is or isn't. Drugs are an excellent example of this. It does not matter if you don't "believe" pot will get you high, it will irregardless of any personal bias or convictions. Otherwise I'm leaning towards the placebo effect as the likely explanation. "God" falls within this to me. =)

@PainAddict666 Sure that's fair enough. "One verse said a person will not receive God's Spirit if he considers it foolish". Actually look again. That's not what's said. It says that they will not receive "the things of the Spirit'. Those "things of the Spirit" being, 'truths of the Spirit' that Paul was talking about. Having said that, will you kindly explain your question a bit?

@faithandpractice At no point did you even actually say anything, you let the Bible talk for you. I have no problem with that but I will address your comment as if you said those scriptures, fair enough?
One verse said a person will not receive God's Spirit if he considers it foolish. What if he doesn't?
"As with any Christian, I am always concerned for the lost, so I'll keep praying for you"
And as a critical thinker, I will keep donating to stem cell research in the hopes that they finally come up with some recombinant DNA treatment technique that can retroactively fix the malfunctioning neurons in your head.

we are living in the most safest times in human history. disasters are normal, the news is desperate for a story, quit watching it. if you swallowed religious propaganda of the world getting more dangerous, let me say this. neolithic era- death rate, age 20. Cause- hunger, tooth decay, failed hunting. Injured/sick hunters were cannibalized by fellow desperate tribesman. Mothers delivered on a fucking dirt patch and the baby and her usually died. They were cannibalized after death.
