Colorado State Rep. Laura Bradford last week was suspected of drunk driving. But instead of being booked and charged like the rest of us she was let off scott free by the police officers because she specifically mentioned that she was coming from a legislative function. Part of Colorado constitution says that during legislative session, except for cases of treason or a felony, legislators cannot be arrested during attendance at the session or committee meetings or going to and from such sessions.
