I put together this video to show a city in the interior of Brazil that doesn't get the same attention as the coastal cities. Brazil is a huge country and full of vibrant culture. Each state is unique, and Mato Grosso is big, diverse, and beautiful. In this state is the famous Pantanal wetlands, a wildlife refuge. In this video, you will also see the artistic, animal-themed payphones, which are sadly destined to be phased out by cellphones. Beautiful culture and amazing people.I thank everyone involved in this project .Video by : Steve Moore

  • @furiousbovine Yes, I'm 100% American, but racially very similar to brazilians. I speak portuguese almost fluently, but not quite.

  • Yeah, for sure we'll keep in touch. I have been told before about the fish head, but don't worry thats one part of the fish i don't think i could eat. Brazilian food is pretty good but when I'm there I like to go out to eat a lot. ever go to Mafia Pizza? or Alex's Restaurant? Those are two of my favorite places to eat. once and a while I go to sera in the 3 Americas shopping center. So are you American? you look a little Brazilian in the youtube clip ...& I think i heard you speaking Portuguese.

  • @furiousbovine - thanks for the compliment. It's always amazing to discover other gringos who have the brazilian-bug. They say that if you eat the gel from the Pacu fish head (cooked) you'll never return to America. lol- yeah, after I made the film I realized the pinnacle mistake. Let's keep in touch, and remember, don't eat the Pacu fish-head if you don't plan on living in Brazil permanently ! (Steve, Jussara's husband.)

  • Great video. I am American but I have been to Cuiaba 5 times. It's an Amazing city. And I have been to All the Places in this video and more. I'm surprised you did not show 3 Americas Shopping ... Lol. One thing though, the pinnacle you showed is the center of South America ... Not Brazil. Cuiaba is located On Brazils western edge ... Near Bolivia. Looks like you had fun. I'll be going again to Cuiaba in December for 3 months. Maybe I'll make a video! Rsrs
