CM#144 - Creative Memories Creative Cuts Collection Demo and Review

Hello! This is my review of the Creative Memories Creative Cuts System.

I wanted to post a review sooner (product introduced in Fall 2010) BUT having this delay has helped me to compare using the system from summer to winter weather. Here is the desert the results were different for me. Now I can show all of my opinions. Wonderful, huh? Lol

In this video:

1) I show the basic parts of the Tool. The 2 basic parts are the cone and pen.

2) I talk about the pros and cons of this system. The pros and cons are very similar to the pros and cons of the Fiskars template cutting system.

3) Training is essential for you to really enjoy this product. Creative Memories has a training video for the public on youtube. I watched it twice! Before I started cutting. This video was mandatory for me because I have never used the Fiskars system. You can see the video here:


4) Accessories for this tool. I show the distressing tip and the red blade that lets you use the Custom Cutting system with this Creative Cuts tool. People with medical issues seem to really like the grasp of the pen over the CCS blades.

5) There is a tool box you can buy that will hold all of the tools and templates. I do not show it in this video.

6) I show how to install the CCS blade. Once installed it will work like the blades in this video:

7) Can I use Cricut blades in the Creative Cuts tool? No. Not until someone or you invent a blade holder. Let me know as I am interested! Lol

8) Can I use Fiskars cutter blade replacements in my Creative Cuts tool? No, the Fiskars blade ends are covered in plastic. Creative Cuts requires a metal tip because it holds the blade with a magnet.

9) Can I use Fiskars templates with my Creative Cuts tool? YES! It takes some practice but YES!

10) I demonstrate a cut.

11) If you live in a very hot climate, I recommend using a glass mat instead of the CM plastic mat. I find when the temps are over 100 the hate the drag on my blade. Winter - no problem.
