President Coolidge's wife was a teacher at Clarke School for the Deaf. I doubt she knew sign language and supported its use in education of the deaf. She and his husband were also on the Board of Clarke School and active in fundraising for the school. That she used to work at Kendall School on Gallaudet Campus and could sign well needs to be verified. Kendall School emphasized the oral method in the child's first years and few teachers who teach the first grades knew sign language.

Where is that happened? I haven't seen that video that Obama asked hearing people sit back while Deaf people sit front. Can you give me the link of that event. I was tried search that video of that event.

McCain quit Board of Gallaudet cuz he supported JKF. he upset when Gally protest against JKF. He prefer oral, SEE, He doesn't support for Deaf culture plus ASL

McCain was on the Board of Gallaudet. Was Obama? McCain's wife teaches Special Ed, including the Deaf, does Obama's? Palin's child will use Sign to communicate... will Obama's? Ohh and McCain isn't friends with a terrorist, hiring the President of Fannie/Freddie to work for him and ADVISE him, and McCain doesn't degrade our troops by saying they rape women in the Middle East. So why would you vote for Obama?
