Alysha Brillinger - Better Soon

This song is dedicated to anyone struggling through a situation in their life. In autumn 2010, my friend Jimmy was diagnosed with Cancer. Everyone was shocked to find out because even though he was undergoing chemotherapy, he was still coming out to play music with us in the community. I released this song and video in January, shortly after we held a big fundraiser for him and he told me this song was his anthem throughout his struggle with cancer, and it helped him stay positive throughout his struggles. Hearing that really touched me because I was also in a rough place emotionally when I wrote this song, but I knew I wanted to convey a message of hope both for me, Jimmy and everyone who hears it.
