***** David Alvarez has apparently renamed his band from "Shaolin Temple of BooM" to "World Versus Me" *****
In 2006, I happened to stumble upon an awesome trailer for a game called Battlefield 2142. It had been put together by a man named David Alvarez, who was the sole member of a band called Shaolin Temple of BooM.
At the time, I had absolutely no idea who David was, and I had never heard of his music - but after watching his video, I immediately fell in love with his music and this became my favorite song by him. (For the record, my second favorite is easily "Entwined" - another beautiful song.)

"Evil is subjective, as is art. This song was written as a question mark, and a statement."
Very true words, David.

This is an undiscovered, under-appreciated masterpiece. It's the perfect mixture of electronic and rock, with beautiful instrumentals and percussion. The fact that this all came from one single person's head makes it infinitely more unique, beautiful and valuable to me. David is a wonderful artist with nearly unlimited potential.

I decided to upload this song on here because in my opinion, it's his best work - yet it's very hard to find a copy to listen to on the internet. PLEASE, if you enjoy his music, buy it! Support an artist who actually deserves it!

Shaolin Temple of Boom "SToB" is an American electronic, rock, and soundtrack project founded in 2005 by David Alvarez and is located in Los Angeles, California. Alvarez is SToB's only official member and is the main instrumentalist responsible for the production, arrangement, and composition of his music. The name "Shaolin Temple of BooM" means "Kung Fu of Music" and was coined by Alvarez. In 2004, Alvarez posted his music online and a year later released his first demo CD, ProjecKtor later followed by Deus Ex Machina, and The Equinox. Though unsigned, his music still in demo form was played on XM Radio, KROQ, KFMX, and other Clear Channel radio stations from late 2006 to 2009. The tracks "I Would Destroy" from The Equinox and "Entwined" from Deus Ex Machina were mixed by Chris Vrenna, a founding member of Nine Inch Nails and member of Marilyn Manson. David Alvarez was the first unsigned artist endorsed by Engl Amplifiers, and has appeared in major European magazines such as Germany's Rock Hard to commemorate the endorsement.

  • Is there a download on a fileshare site you can give? If not I'll have to use Youtube extractor, but I usually prefer not to.

  • @Abaddon133 Sorry, I don't have the links to any downloads. I'm sure you could find it via Google, but if you really like the song, support the artist!
