MORE EQUAL UNION (4:32)
(Pop/Dance) A reverie into the future of gay liberation and freedom in America. The song was inspired by the civil rights agenda for LGBT people as stated on President Barack Obama's White House website as well as the United States Constitution and our equal and inalienable rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

More Equal Union is an LGBT Civil Rights music album that will be available on iTunes in June 2009, and all proceeds will benefit Lambda Legal. For more information about the album, including audio previews and music videos, go to the official website at http://www.MoreEqualUnion.com.

THE STORY OF ETHAN AND JACOB (Part 11 of 13):
He had become aware over the last few months of other widows of fallen soldiers who have been receiving post-death benefits, but because he was gay, he was denied the same benefits. This time, he stood up, and he promptly sued the US Government to fight for his equal rights. The court case quickly climbed its way all the way to the US Supreme Court, and by this point he had become known publicly to the entire country, gay and straight, as the case had become big news. On the fateful day that the high court struck down the discrimination and awarded him his fair share of his benefits, and the US President held a news conference hailing this victory, every gay community from the Pacific to the Atlantic erupted in cheers and elation, and a major victory was scored in the Gay Civil Rights Movement that continued to move forward in leaps and inches. Though he was happy to be treated like an equal citizen, Ethan would instantly trade these benefits for the chance to see Jacob again, even for just a day. (Continued on "Why")

LYRICS:

We the people in order for us to form a more equal union
We believers of justice and basic welfare and common defense
We apostles of liberty and domestic tranquility now
We ordain and establish our Constitution for our country

We will join in hands
And walk along and sing
And soon will come the day
We hear our freedom ring
We will raise our heads
And move ahead and sing
And soon will come the time
We let our freedom ring

We are people with one desire to make a more equal union
We believe that we are created to be as good as each other
We defend our prosperity sought by each community because
All of us are endowed with our rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness

We will join in hands
And walk along and sing
And soon will come the day
We hear our freedom ring
We will raise our heads
And move ahead and sing
And soon will come the time
We let our freedom ring
We will take a stand
And march along and sing
And soon will come the day
We hear our freedom ring
We will raise our hearts
And wave our arms and sing
And soon will come the time
We let our freedom ring

America, we have made vast progress in the 40 years after Stonewall, but as you know, we are far from the finish line.
We see people who endeavor separation to our country in our quest for equal rights and treatment towards LGBT people
But our quest is one to which every single American can relate, for first and foremost, we believe that we are all created equally
And it is up to us to follow through on this fundamental covenant and do unto others as we would have others do unto us.

We the people can not afford to continue looking for answers
We are the answers, that is the answer, and now's the time to be united once again
