Second teaser of Diablo II - originally displayed at the 1998 Electronic Entertainment Expo. The trailer does really capture the dark, ominous and mysterious atmosphere of Diablo series (especially that of the first game). Simply a timeless masterpiece.

@rednas3636 I'm also wondering whether it can be considered canon or not. Mainly because we see Diablo's soulstone laying on the ground in the end of this video and it doesn't seem to fit with D2 lore.. it could be metaphorical - he's talking about better part of his soul remaining behind and we see soulstone laying in the waste (however I don't think soulstone could be considered better part of him) or it all may be just more complex that our mortal minds can even start to comprehend *winks*

@Hyper1ink From wikipedia: "A canon, in terms of a fictional universe, is a body of material that is considered to be 'genuine' or 'official'." For example 'Diablo: Hellfire' isn't considered canon by Blizzard. Well.. unlike Hellfire this Expo trailer was released/produced by Blizzard, but its still not clear whether it can be considered canon.

@draak0n Thank you; I was wondering because I'm German. This D2 trailer is made by Blizzard AND published on several other Blizzard titles (e.g. it's on later StarCraft, D1 and WC2 CDs etc.) AND contains enough D2 material ("Tristram", wanderer, soulstone, D2 logo), so I'd say the trailer is definitely official/genuine and therefore "canon", although not reappearing in the end product itself.
