Guys...really the whole point of music is to express yourself...you play the music how YOU think it should be played :) sure if everyone played the piece the same it would get pretty boring dont you think?
Really like your version of this! :) xxx

I still got to admit, love your version too. :D

I don't see the fuss about "being like the original"...of course if it's by ear, it will be different, inevitably...the great musicians of the past and present are not those who are able to transcribe perfectly. It is those are able to listen and adapt accordingly, adding their own twist to it.

do a tutorial you selfish bastard,
lol jks, but seriously do a tutorial,
this is really awesome, not AS good as the original,
but still great, especially for a person that did it by ear,
-
nice job, man. i'm an ear musician too but your ear-piano skills blow me away! keep it up bro.

@dartjeff you should see my friends play it. they are awesome. type in notsosimple12 and it will say love story meets viva la vida by 13 year olds.
I've listened to the original dozens of times now. While yours is good for doing it by ear, it really strays a lot from the original.

Well ,I could only ASPIRE to be as good as a pianist whos been playing, and composing since he was 11. Thank you for the comment. I always appreciate constructive criticism.

I wasn't comparing your playing ability to his. I was comparing the actual notes of the song being played. You were playing it by ear, so I was meaning to tell you that some parts sounded really good and close to the original, while other parts, like the middle from 3:29 to 3:56, you aren't even close.
That being said, I know you were doing it by ear.
And playing one song with the right hand and another with the left is not an easy task :)

I have also listened to the orginial several times, And frankly, I find the notes Jon is playing during that time, are very difficult for a player who has not taken lessons in note-reading, nor technique.
