Dhoad Gypsies from Rajasthan are based in France.
Dhoad group is a worldwide known cultural ambassador of Rajasthan. They share Rajasthan culture, its music, poets, ceremonies, dancers, fakirs, snake charmers. Since 2001, the group has been successfully touring the whole Europe. They have already given 100 concerts from Asia, through Europe, USA to Canada. The group is made of eight world-class performers (six musicians, a dancer and a fakir, fire-eater).
Dhoad gathers leading figures connected with Rajasthan music. These both incredibly elegant and beautiful, but also malicious and majestic musicians, poets and shamans depict in their music amazing places of their region. Their music is a music of ecstasy, a combination of climaxes, punctuated by gentle gestures of breathtaking tunes a truly magical experience.
