Great post, Old Skool Olympic Lifting at 6:37. I was never a UT fan but this team had one of the best defensive units in college football history. Lost the Cotton Bowl when Guy McIntyre tackled their LB on an option play late in that game.

If that punt wasn't dropped in the Cotton Bowl, Texas wins that National Championship. Nebraska and Miami played that night so with Nebraka losing, Texas at #2 would have won it all. After this loss the Longhorns decended into medocrity until 1990 and then wasn't as good until 1995-1996 and then it all changed when Mack Brown took over.
