Donna Summer all'anagrafe Donna Andrea Gaines (Boston, 31 dicembre 1948) è una cantante statunitense.
Nota per una serie di successi musicali negli anni settanta che le valsero il titolo di "Queen of Disco" (in italiano "Regina della disco music").
Donna Summer rappresenta una rarità nel panorama della disco music degli anni settanta, dal momento che la sua carriera iniziò ben prima dell'improvvisa popolarità del genere musicale e continuò anche dopo. Sebbene fosse una delle artisti più note di quel periodo, il repertorio di Donna Summer non si esauriva nella disco music, ma includevi pezzi R&B, rock e gospel, che le valsero un Grammy award per ciascuna categoria. La sua produzione è tuttora acclamata dalla critica moderna ed è una delle poche cantanti disco rivalutate dalla critica rock attuale.
