Geshela's Visit

Geshe Kalsang Damdul at our BBQ for him. He is "the assistant director of of the Institute of Buddhist Dialectics in Dharamsala under the direct administration of HH the Dalai Lama. He has taught at Portland State University as a visiting Tibetan scholar and was the spiritual director of the at the Northwest Tibetan Cultural Association. In 2003, he founded the Shakyamuni Tibetan Buddhist Center."

He was my meditation teacher this summer in Dharamsala, India, and has spent a month at Ohio State University doing research on the effects of meditation on sufferers of PTSD.

No, it is not. Geshela is a term that is used for Geshes who are teachers by their students. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso is not the only Geshe. He is not even one of the highest Geshes. NKT just never teaches anything about anything other than NKT. I was with them for many years but left because I could not bear the anti-Tibetan attitude... despite the fact they run around in Tibetan robes and call each other by Tibetan names. And despite what they say, they DO HAVE an anti-Tibetan attitude.
