Permaculture is our sort of lead course for the whole program of sustainable living. Because it's the one that encompasses most of what sustainable living is all about. Essentially it's about designing a way for a community of people to live that is in concert, that is in agreement with the principles of nature and it mimics nature as much as possible. At the same time making a very comfortable living for people. Its not like we are coming up with a hippie commune or anything, it much more advanced, much more sophisticated than that. So it has all of the principles of the overall program and that's why we ask our students to take that course first, to kind of introduce them and to give them that sense of wholeness before they then go into the program itself.
