Steve was NextStepping Apple at this point. You could do this what 10, 12 years before this presentation with NeXT computers. He was selling working off servers way back. Eventually, the Cloud computing will be all off a remote server, OS included.

@L4Leonard : Yeah but at this time I was with a 56k connexion, 1mbps was great for video streaming. Today, you need 7 mbps for 720p streaming (Mpeg-4).
Unix : solid rock. And today, every macintosh on the market can be awesome like that with OS X 7. Steve jobs merge the simplicity of macintosh with the power of UNIX.
