This was recorded before I heard her live at Club Mount 47 in Cambridge. She sounds so mature at 17, and never imo sounded better. Funny now that she did not have to open her mouth, because her overbite leaves enough for the sounds to get out just fine. Her guitar playing is the sort that beginners do, but she did continue, and influenced a generation. Thank you very much for posting this.

we had to sing this in chior last year but this year the chior SUCKS last year we were amazing i wish we could sound as good as we did all the little sevies make us sound childish and im not the only person who feels this way

heard this as a child on her greatest hits, vol.1 (I have the mono original lp) - sad,powerful protest ballads such as this one are increasingly rare - seems the age of twitter as turned most into mindless fools

@gordbard Bob NEVER asked her to marry him! He found her tiresome and did everything he could to get rid of her. Her affection for him was unrequited he was very unkind to her. I thought it a sad story.

Baez has a well documented anti-communist record and I fully agree with her sentiments and supported her efforts against the former communist gov'ts Russia, Poland, Cambodia, Czech Republic and North Viet Nam.. Maybe if you spent less energy with the pathetic name calling you'd have more time to develope an appreciation for our wonderful American Masters.
Do people still call others "communists" for no reason ? I thought that ended in the 80s.

Do viewers realize that Ms. Baez was only 17 years old at the time this was filmed? It was a year or more before she recorded her first album! This is just incredible to see!
