Alison,my heart goes out to you and your husband and family. I understand your pain and disappointment as my husband also has a brain tumor that is terminal. I can tell that you are very strong and are managing more than anyone can imagine. I try to be as patient and caring as I can ,but sometimes I just get so angry and frustrated! I have found that meditation has been very helpful and comforting to me. To be mindful of just breathing, helps to release my stress. God bless you.

I am the wife of a brain tumor patient. If you go to the National Brain Tumor Foundation website there is a list of people from across the country who have been through this and are available to talk to and offer support to other caregivers.

My friend's husband was just diagnosed with a brain tumor, yesterday afternoon. I don't know what to do for her as a friend, what to say, when to show up to be with her... Any advice from your perspective/experience.
If you are in the seacoast area, get in touch with SteppingStones and they have a ton of experience, etc that you can pull from. One thing I've learned is that your support will be so valuable to her so just put it out there that you are available to talk or whatever. Be real with her and talk about it- don't pretend to move around the elephant in the middle of the room because that takes too much time and energy. Support is the only thing you can give...good luck
