@gaozhi2007 I agree. I really like this tent, but at 6'1', think it is a little short for me. I guess I'll just have to stick to my 2 person tent, or maybe the MSR Hubba since that is 5 inches longer but it is much expensive than the REI

Tyvek sounds like a great idea - thanks!

Tyvek is the brand name for a waterproof lightweight plastic that you can make a cheap 'footprint' out of. Try Home Depot. Lay out your tent, trace the bottom, cut the Tyvek to fit.

What would a "plus" version be?
zeekzilch 6 months ago
@zeekzilch they have plus versions of both the quarter dome T2 and T3. They add 10 inches in length and about 4 inches to the side, all for an extra 6 ounces of weight (in the T2 plus). Personally, I don't understand why anyone would even buy the normal versions. Right now they are both on sale and for $20 more you can get the plus version. It's a no brainer. Don't understand why they can't do this for the T1.

That's good information - thank you for explaining! I'll certainly watch for the "plus" (if it becomes available) as it makes more sense...

@3318ryan
The T1 single person I'm using here, in this video, is listed at 2 pounds 12 ounces (1.4 kilograms)
