Sonic Freedom Fighters TV Intro (Fake)

What I was going for here was to present my dream version of this show, not necessarily the direction it will eventually go in. My ideal would be a happy medium between the energetic and colorful games as well as the deep characterization and surprisingly dramatic story-line of the Archie Sonic comics.
The story line? After an alien bombardment of the planet earth with biological weapons, mankind is replaced as the dominant species on the planet by super-evolved animals called 'mobians'. A terrible war between the survivors of man and the mobians breaks out, and in the midst of the battle a tyrant rises to conquer both races with his war machines: Dr. Robotnik. Years after the occupation, Sonic the Hedgehog and fellow mobian Freedom Fighters who escaped the invasion must bring down Robotnik's reign once and for all, and may need to ally with their old enemies the humans to do it.
A lot of people don't think Sonic would do well in a darker story-line, but I don't agree. I once saw a dramatic film about martial arts fighting mutated reptiles.

Hears what I'm thinking about this, it would probably be interesting if it was a little spin on the Sonic X plot. Like maybe after the Great War the humans mysteriously disappeared during a battle between the Freedom Fighters and Eggman, they stumble apon Station Square. The Freedom Fighters may ally with Hope Kintobor, while they are mistaken as Mobian invaders by the governement. But this is just a thought.
